Cake Decorating!

My name is Anna and I have just completed my first set of basic cake decorating classes!! How many of you out there just love it like me?

I can make poofy shells, and rosettes, and roses, and other types of flowers and borders!!  I am making my first decorated cake outside of class for my granddaughter, Chennel for her tenth birthday! I will probably make one for my grandson who will have his birthday one day after hers!

I have some questions.  Does anyone know where to purchase products for cake decorating at a lower price?  Has anyone made their own fillings for their cakes and where I can find recipes for some?  Does anyone out there have some wonderful shortcuts they would like to share?
